Mentor Responsibilities

  • Attend all College Mentors for Kids activities except in the case of illness or emergency.
  • Actively participate in every activity and give your little buddy your full attention.
  • Keep your little buddy physically and emotionally safe.
  • Serve as a positive role model and constant source of support.
  • Ask questions and encourage your little buddy to think critically about what they are learning.
  • Assist your little buddy in developing a vision and goals for the future.
  • Set clear behavior expectations for your little buddy and ensure they are met.
  • Participate in chapter fundraising efforts and meet your individual fundraising goal.
  • Attend all fundraising, training, and celebratory events hosted by your chapter.

Your full legal name is required in order to process your College Mentors for Kids background check. If this information is not provided, you may be disqualified/removed from the College Mentors for Kids program.
